Well, what a spring it has been so far. So much sunshine and well above average temperatures. There are lots of butterflies out and many species are early and doing very well.
One butterfly that is very early this year is Marsh Fritillary which I saw today
Is is the earliest I have ever seen this species, not just by a few days by nearly a month. Amazing
Holly Blues are having a bumper Spring. Seem everywhere.
Skippers are fairly numerous with seemingly Dingys out-numbering Grizzled at the moment
Some of the other butterflies out at the moment:
Female Orange Tip
Male Orange Tip
Duke of Burgandy
